In this guide
A home physiotherapy session in Morocco usually costs between 200 and 600 DH. The range is wide because every situation is different: a physio doesn’t spend the same time or give the same care for an operated knee, a bedridden patient or a child. Here is what explains the price, how to work out your budget and what to ask before you book.
How much does a session cost?
A home physiotherapy session usually costs between 200 and 600 DH. The price depends on the patient’s situation.
Each physio sets their own price. On Kinezy they tell you on WhatsApp before the first session, and every physio comes to the patient’s home: it is the price of a home session.
What changes the price
Several things play a part, and the physio will tell you more when you book:
- the patient’s situation: rehabilitation after surgery, a bedridden patient or a neurological condition need more than a simple backache;
- the length of the session, often from 30 minutes to an hour;
- the physio’s experience and specialty;
- the distance and the journey to your home;
- the equipment the care needs.
Estimating your budget
The doctor prescribes a number of sessions. Multiply it by the price of one session to get an idea of the total. For example, for 10 sessions:
- at 200 DH a session: 2,000 DH;
- at 400 DH a session: 4,000 DH;
- at 600 DH a session: 6,000 DH.
Reimbursement
When prescribed by a doctor, physiotherapy sessions may be covered by AMO (CNSS or CNOPS) or by your private insurer, depending on your cover. You need the prescription and a care sheet filled in by the physio. On Kinezy, physios who provide one say so on their profile, and you can limit the search to them. Ask your insurer what share it covers before you start.
What to ask before the first session
A clear price avoids bad surprises. Before you confirm, ask the physio:
- What is the price of a session, and how long does it last?
- Does the price change with my situation, my neighbourhood or the time of day?
- Do they provide the care sheet for reimbursement?
- How many sessions do they expect, and how often?
